Grace in Small Things #1

This week has been full of apprehension, recovery, and revelations.  All of those have made my life a little bit easier.

I am grateful…

  1. for having a concerned and compassionate dentist with really good novocaine.
  2. that nobody was home during a break-in at my friend and coworker’s home.
  3. for having a daughter who is concerned enough about her B in 3rd grade language arts to ask her teacher, “What can I do to get my A back?”
  4. for my parents who celebrated their 38th anniversary on Tuesday.
  5. for this song and the wonderful way it elevated my mood this morning:

About Dena

I'm a suburban Clevelander by way of Oklahoma City, by way of North Florida, by way of Southern Maryland, by way of Upper Michigan, by way of Northern Italy, by way of Lower Michigan, by way of Texas. Because of living in so many places, I have something in common with almost everyone I meet. I love reading, writing, and American history (especially reading or writing about American history). I'm interested in culture of place, historical trauma, and writing about the kinds of histories most people don't know about.
